Is Cubot A Good Brand?
You may be interested in Cubot as a manufacturer and wondering whether or not they are any good as a brand. This page is all about Cubot as a brand so you know what they do well and do not do so well. However information on this page is centered around Cubot as a brand in regards to the Android phones they produce, Cubot does, however, produce other products like the Cubot U01, Bluetooth headphones and the Cubot E01 Bluetooth speakers.
We're gonna start off by talking about the positives of Cubot as a phone brand.

They Try New Things

Around the time I became interested in Chinese Android Phone brands I noticed that they would try different things that did not always catch on, for example, the very first Android phone with a 13MP front and back camera was from a Chinese brand called THL.
Cubot had a phone that featured an Antenna called the Cubot C8 initially I thought it was a bad idea and in hindsight, it was a bad idea with perks.
The point is that Cubot is willing to try new things and the recent thing that they are trying is every day using rugged phones which they have labeled sports phones with the Cubot Quest and the Cubot Quest Lite.

Cubot Support
I would strongly recommend never purchasing a phone over $100 that does not feature FOTA (Firmware Over The Air). With OTA a lot of small brands like Cubot will not support OTA for all of their phones it's one way that Cubot and other small brands keep the cost down. This is something that is crucial an error in the firmware can affect everything from battery life to unwanted bugs, OTA is a commitment from the manufacturer to support their products long after the money has been exchanged. Cubot does actually support OTA with many of their phones including the Cubot Power and Cubot Quest and that is a huge plus in my books.

Cubot Value For Money
The very first Cubot I ever heard of was a model called the Cubot C7 and since then I have been interested in the brand. Cubot phones operate on Android operating systems and are cheaper than more known phone brands. Cubot's offer incredible value for money the sheer amount of value they are able to implement into their devices for the money is very impressive.

Cubot's more recent offers have not lost pace with the value for money standards the Cubot C7 first set. The Cubot X19 is modern proof of Cubot's value for money it features a 5.93 Inch 2160 x 1080 resolution screen a 4000Mah battery the Helio P23 MT6763T 64-Bit Octa Core Processor clocked at 2.5GHZ with 4GB of Ram and 64GB of internal memory plus more all for under $140.

Cubot X19 Review And Exact Price

The most expensive phone Cubot has ever released is a phone called the Cubot Power and as the name suggests it has a rather large power supply amongst some other seriously valuable traits.

About 1 year ago Cubot released the Cubot power their most expensive phone it has a 6000Mah battery a 5.99 Inch 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution screen and one of Media Tek's more powerful CPU's the MT673T clocked at 2.5GHZ with 6GB of Ram and 128GB of internal memory.  I believe it was $199.99 at the time of release and is currently $179.99

No Snapdragons
Cubot has never produced a phone that uses a Snapdragon CPU, the best Snapdragon CPU's are more expensive and more powerful than the  best MediaTek CPU's of course Media Tek produce some high functioning CPU's but if you want a Cubot with a CPU that can compete with the highest performing Samsung or iPhone it's currently not possible.

The MT673T CPU is able to compete with some snapdragons like the Snapdragon 425 but of course against the Snapdragon 855 used by the One Plus 7 Pro the MT673T although cheaper cannot compete in terms of performance and neither can any other Media Tek CPU's currently on the market.

Short NFC List
The list of Cubot phones that are NFC (Near Field Communication) enabled is a very short list in fact on our Cubot NFC phone list there are only two phones however maybe this will change but for now

Not Enough OTG Phones
OTG (USB On The Go) is a super feature as far as I'm concerned when it comes to Android phones being able to connect USB devices to your phone is incredibly useful. If you are a gamer and have a controller that has A USB controller you can connect it to OTG phones. Don't worry Cubot OTG phone list is a lot more crowded than the NFC List but not as crowded as I would like.

Wireless Charging Is A No
So far Cubot pretty much all small known Asian brands are yet to produce a phone that offers a phone with wireless charging. Wireless charging is a feature that is never really present in smaller known Chinese brands.
