A Spare Battery

Cubot has done something I love and that is they have made the battery removable. It is possible to remove non-removable batteries from phones but you need special tools that are usually included with a replacement battery.

A removable battery is very convenient, you can change your battery with little effort.

Powerbank

Another Accessory that can benefit the battery is a power bank. Powerbanks are more adaptable, a spare Cubot P4 pro battery will only work with the Cubot P40 but a power bank can charge your P40 and many other electronic devices. The Cubot P40 features 5V 2A fast charge so when selecting a power bank to use with the P40 you may want to select one that's output supports the Cubot P40's charging speed.

Screen Protector

The price of a screen protector is nothing compared to the price of screen damage. A screen protector will help to guard against scratches and more serious impacts that could result in a smashed display. Although the screen size is not bad the Cubot P40 shows its budget in the resolution and lack of protection. 

A 6.2 inches HD 1520 X 720 270 PPI display is useless once the screen gets damaged, more expensive smartphones at least have gorilla glass to protect them from impacts and scratches with the P40 you need to invest in protection if your P40 did not come with a screen protector installed or in the packaging.

3.5MM And Type C Accessories

Since the Type-C introduction, it has often been the case that Android will either have a type-C port or an audio 3.5mm port. 

Cubot has gone all out with the Cubot P40 and given it both ports on top of all it already has. You probably already know that the 3.5mm port lets you plug in the standard 3.5mm headphones and speakers even though you can use 

One word of warning certain Type-C headphones like the ones we sell at this link will only work with phones that have a type-C port only and not phones that have both a type-C and 3.5mm port. Cubot has produced type-C only phones and these headphones will work with those but not the Cubot P40.

As I said earlier Cubot has gone all out with the P40 squeezing every bit of value they could into the P40, it is now one of the very rare Cubot phones with NFC and the ability to use NFC Accessories. NFC tags are great accessories, they can b used to program NFC devices like the P40 to take a specific action when they come into with each other.

Bluetooth 4.0 is standard for Chinese Androids, Cubot has gone beyond the standard with the P40 it has Bluetooth 4.2 which is 2.5 times faster and more energy-efficient than previous versions. it is also backwards compatible so you do not have to worry about it only working with devices operating on the same version of Bluetooth.

We previously mentioned wired headphones via the 3.5mm port, but with Bluetooth 4.2 you can connect wireless headphones. With wireless headphones you have a lot more freedom, you can charge your phone and listen to your playlist from meters apart. The only downside to Bluetooth headphones is the battery drain but like we said Bluetooth 4.2 is more energy-efficient and you can use the headphones while charging the P40. Wireless headphones are very adaptable and can be used with other Bluetooth devices like laptops.

Wireless speakers are another worthy accessory, you can even get waterproof wireless speakers so that you can enjoy quality sound in the shower or at pools or pool parties without the fear of electrocution. Bluetooth speakers are also incredibly convenient many can receive a signal from over 50 meters.

Home A lot, Thought About A Dual Router? 

The Common Wifi operates on a 2.4GHZ however it is possible for Wifi to travel on another frequency. That other frequency is the 5.GHz frequency. Not all phones can operate on both frequencies but the Cubot P40 can. Think about a piano or a voice, which frequencies are the strongest? The lower frequencies right someone with a lower voice has a stronger voice than someone with a higher voice. 2.4 GHz Wifi is lower than 5GHZ Wifi they can travel further and through walls and that's why they can be at a disadvantage to 5GHZ Wifi. Because 2.4GHZ wifi is so strong they reach and interfere with each other. When you select your Wifi how many Wifi signals from your neighbours and other signals show up, quite a few, right. All those signals bump into each other affecting the speed of your internet. 5GHZ Wifi does not have this problem for two reasons. Because they operate on a different frequency to the standard 2.4GHZ they do not interfere with each other. You may be wondering does that not mean that 5.GHz will interfere with other 5.GHZ which brings us to the second reason. Because 5.GHz is a higher frequency than 2.4GHZ they are not as strong, they are not strong enough to travel through rooms so they are not strong enough to get in each other's way. If you are spending more time at home like many of us and have a Cubot P40 and interested in other 5.GHZ devices, laptops, phones, tablets, and the rest then you may be interested in a dual router, one that offers Wifi on both the 5.GHz and 2.4GHZ frequncy so that you can have faster Wifi in close proximity to the router.
