Cubot C30 Type-C Port Only

One of the major inconveniences of phones that do not have 3.5mm audio ports and only have type-C USB ports is that you cannot charge via the USB port and utilize wired audio devices at the same time.
This inconvenience applies to wired keyboards and other wired devices, you can only use the Type-C port for one thing at a time, using a wired keyboard and listening to wired audio devices at the same time is simply not an option.

3.5mm Port Alternatives

Complaints made against the Type-C port as a full replacement for the 3.5 mm port are valid however there are still options that can deliver more or less the same experience as the type-c USB port depending on your perspective. Bluetooth devices can pretty much bypass the aforementioned type-c port cons. You can use wireless headphones and charge via the type -C USB port at the same time you can also use wireless Bluetooth keyboards and all kinds of other devices. There is only one problem with wireless Bluetooth and that's power consumption. The Bluetooth devices themselves will have limited power, for example, some Bluetooth headphones may last for 2 to 3 hours depending on usage and then there is the additional power consumption of the Cubot C30's battery when Bluetooth is on. The Cubot C30 has Bluetooth 4.2 which is more energy-efficient and faster than version 4.0.

If you don't mind the power consumption Bluetooth 4.2 is a fine substitute for a 3.5mm port and you can use a type-c to 3.5mm adapter if you want to use 3.5mm accessories with your C30 phone.

OTG 

USB on the go is a feature that Cubot phones are used to having and by far one of the best features a phone can have. With OTG you can use USB devices with your Cubot C30 phone. Of course, this also comes with the use of the Type-C port so you run into the same problems I mentioned with charging earlier. OTG cables are a necessity and it's not like you can only use them with the C30.

The Usual Sensors

Besides the usual sensor Proximity, Accelerometer, Magnetic, and Others(Light sensor) Cubot have gone all out on the C30 with additional sensors.

The fingerprint sensor is located to the side which rather convenient for easily unlocking your Cubot C30. 

Another way to unlock the Cubot C30 without using the password is face Id.

Gyroscope is one of the best sensor ever that is sadly often absent in medium and low priced Android phones. Gyroscope sensors can detect side to side movements you can use the Cubot C30 like a steering wheel on gyroscope compatible games.

Until 2020 there were less than 4 Cubot phones that had NFC (Near Field Communication). NFC lets you use your Android like a debit card and pay for things with contactless payment via Android pay you do however have to attach your C30 to a debit/credit card. Covid has dramatically increased the demand for wireless payment so maybe that's the reason Cubot has stepped their game up.

For the price the back cameras are very reasonable, they take good pictures in light and dark lighting. The 32MP front camera is Cubot going the extra mile. Great for video calls and selfies if you like. The Cubot C30 has a hole punch screen meaning there is a hole on the screen that houses the front camera, that's a pro or con depending on your stylistic tastes.

Battery

The 4200mah battery can last for two days using 4G regularly to surf the net without playing games watching videos.

Replacing the battery may be a problem if it is ever damaged because it is classed as nonremovable or undetachable, that does not mean you cannot replace the battery but it does mean cannot be replaced but it does mean replacing the battery will require tools that should come with a battery replacement and effort you would not have to afford to phone with a removable battery. 

 

CPU And Display Complement One Another

The Helio P60 CPU is pretty powerful and works well with the high-resolution screen. Highly graphic demanding games and apps require a CPU powerful enough to run them smoothly if at all and a screen capable of displaying their graphics otherwise what is the point. 

With a 6.4 Inch 1080 X 2310 Full High Definition hole-punch screen, the C30 can handle a lot. 

Corning gorilla glass is a tough glass that is resistant to scratches and damage. The Cubot C30 does not have gorilla glass leaving its screen vulnerable to scratches and smashes and oil damage. A screen protector is a cheap solution but it's better to have gorilla glass and not need it than to not have gorilla glass and have to pay for a screen replacement we'd estimate around £30-£40.

Android 10

Android 10 features a lot but one of the features that I like quite a lot is night mode. You may consider yourself a night person but that may not be as true as you think. The reason we stay awake in front of the TV and bright screens is that they prevent our bodies from releasing melatonin the hormone that tells us it is time to go to bed. Night mode eases the problem. Android 10 is not specific to the C30 but still adds value.
